I put this here because Nomic isn't a role-playing game... at least initially. It may well become one eventually, if the players so choose. Basically, is anyone interested in giving this a go? www.earlham.edu/~peters/writing/nomic.htm

This sounds like a recipe for shenanigans! Indeed. And the Hideout is all about shenanigans, so I figured this would be a great game for us. I also take that comment as an "I'm interested." I'll give it a little while to see if anyone else wants to play before we start. And more people could join from there.

I am interested yes, although I am kind of put off by how crazy this can be and how boring it seems to start with. Will have to work on fixing that.

Yeah, the dude said he intentionally made it boring to encourage people to change the rules. And it only becomes as crazy as the players want it to be. It helps that it takes a lot of effort to change some of the most basic rules (since immutable rules can only be transmuted by unanimous vote at first, and some basic concepts are reinforced in several rules).

I meant crazy as in "You must be a law major to understand this without reading it 15 times."

I meant crazy as in "You must be a law major to understand this without reading it 15 times." It wasn't too bad for me, but I am used to parliamentary procedure. But yeah, even for me there were a few parts I had to back up and reread a few times.

Words...made brain hurt T_T This, I have to take this game seriously to understand it, my usual apathy state of mind doesn't cut it and I have to actually bring my intellect to bare.
