You mean "When the Cicadas Cry"? Or as most people know it Higurashi no Naku Koro ni?
HH was all love over that series a few years ago, I only watched the first two arcs myself. There's a sequel out in manga form, and two continuations Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kai, and Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Rei
Although the U.S. release only covered the first 3 story arcs.

They pretty much just changed it to "when they cry" in the dub release.
I watched more than just one story arc. I got 26 episodes, a full season.

So I finished watching valkyria chronicles, the ending was lame beyond lame. But than I went and watched the first season of Queen's blade, and the raw lame that that series is made Valkyria chronicles look great by comparison.
Valkyria seems to change the genre at the very end once the Valkyria stuff comes in, and everything just rushes to a conclusion, the main antagonist goes through a mysterious process I can only call "Character undevelopment" where they add details to a character that... somehow actually makes them less of a character, destroying the atmosphere of the anime as they rushed it to it's ending. Although I will admit the fact it actually had an ending pleases me more than most anime which end in a "Hoping for another season but this counts as and ending if not" sort of way.
As for Queen's blade. It never had any good parts. The characters were generic, no heart to their motives, it was full of corny moralistic crap, a decent bit of retarded angst, and the fights were absolutely boring. The only potential redeeming quality was how retardedly perverted it was, I don't even know why the characters bother wearing clothes while they fight. However this was taken to such a ridiculous level that only a hardcore pervert would be interested in this since there was more screentime with boobs exposed than not. The only part of the show I even remotely enjoyed was watching the Angel Nanael blundering about.
