Proposed Rule Change:
That the Constitution be rescinded in its entirety.
Rationale:
The Supreme Moderation has unanimously voted to recommend this amendment to the Hideout. As for why, the Supreme Moderation feels the board is basically dead and it's time to move into Archive Mode. The Supreme Moderation has already unanimously adopted a resolution regarding what to do if and when this amendment takes effect.
Process:
Voting will last for one week. If the amendment is adopted, it will be announced to the Hideout and take effect one week later. Then the Resolution will kick in. The amendment requires a 2/3 vote for adoption.
Resolution:
Resolved, that the Supreme Moderation hereby lift Restriction 666 on The Ape and order it to take the following actions, beginning if and when the Constitution takes effect:
Immediately:
-Place an Announcement detailing the archival mode and encouraging members to join the Agora if they wish.
-Abolish the Supreme Moderation.
-Remove all Administrator, High Moderator, and Moderator status from all members of the Hideout, except The Ape.
-Replace the current Moderators of all boards with The Ape.
-Delete the High Moderator and Moderator groups.
-Delete the Hideout Staff category, the Hideout Staff Board, and The Hall of Records.
-Rename The Supreme Moderation category "Archives." Move all remaining threads in The Moderation to the Archives forum. Delete The Moderation.
-Disable posting on ALL boards except the General Discussion Board. Disable polls and attachments on ALL boards.
-Disable the calendar.
-Disable Live Chat.
-Disable new member registration.
First Month:
-Enforce the rules of Proboards and basic courtesy in the General Discussion Board.
One Month Later:
-Disable posting on the General Discussion Board.
Indefinitely:
-Maintain the Hideout as an archive unless and until it is deleted by means beyond our control.
Resolved, that Crystallis shall retain control of the admin account (The Ape) unless and until he chooses to transfer it. The holder of The Ape account shall have sole discretion over when it shall be transferred and who it shall be transferred to and shall use it for maintenance purposes only.

As for what this means, basically, after the immediate actions, no one will be able to do anything but post in the General Discussion Board (for purposes of asking questions, figuring out other places to go, etc.), search and view the boards and threads, and PM each other. After a month, posting in the General Discussion Board will be removed from that very limited list. That will remain until Proboards or hackers or the end of civilization as we know it or whatever destroys the Hideout.
