I am aware of the definition of RAM, White.
This still doesn't change the fact that "his memory has gone bad" is not an accurate description of the problem. The existing memory is fine. It's just that there's not enough of it.

So it's caused by lazyness and expensivititity?

Well, that depends on just how short on RAM he is.
If it's a little bit, then he could change the settings so, as Video put it, he has more "virtual RAM."
Otherwise, he would need to buy more RAM, yes.
So it's really laziness or expensiveness, not both.

Well, that will teach me to assume the official tech support site would have the best answer to a problem. I suppose they can't recommend this fix to the average user, since it is kind of technical. I'll try it when I next use that computer.
Also, I looked up WTF Paged pool is to resolve the RAM arguement.
Basically, it is a certain portion of RAM that handles memory allocation. However, the size of this pool is arbitrarily decided by Windows - all it does is say "This is how much you should need", rather than adjust as needed like any sensible person would do. So even if you have enough RAM (which I do), Windows will only use a set amount for the Paged Pool, even if you have more than enough left over for other programs. I guess the Windows programmers assumed that if you were running enough programs that you ran out of Kernel memory, you probably are using all the rest of the RAM too. This wrench-as-stereo-knob fix orders Windows to give you a little bit larger Paged Pool, at the expense of some extra free RAM.
Abridged: WINDOWS IS RETARDED.

So the conclusion is that you (probably) have enough RAM, but Windows is hiding some of it because it's a dick.

Well, it shouldn't be hard to find. Windows are see-through.
